Fine art photography is created in accordance with the vision of the artist as the photographer. James’ photographic interests include landscapes, birds, mammals, and flowers.

“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

From The Little Prince by Antoine de St. Exupery.  This is the essence of my photography.  One must be in touch with the inner self to capture the essence of a landscape, a bird, a flower.  Each image on this website embodies this effort.

He prints all of his images using the finest Epson printer and uses archival paper for the prints and mats.  James credits world class professional photographers; Joe Zinn, Alain Briot, Larry Ditto, and Wendy Shattil/Bob Rozinski for their mentorship and inspiration.  (Click on their name and be directed to their websites).

He is a veterinarian by education from Texas A&M University and a board certified member of the American College of Zoological Medicine.  James resides in central Texas on his ranch with his veterinarian wife, Alice, a Border terrier, a German Shepherd, and 25 Peruvian horses.
